Nature is doing its best in this garden, a bee and butterfly nectar pot with a simple layout of grey sawn sandstone and quartz paddlestones knitted together with a meadow mix and bold clipped Yew buttresses and Buxus balls. We love our meadow garden, full of bold colour in spring followed by a subtle native mix of meadow flowers and grasses in summer. This garden is a great sanctuary, somewhere to escape those busy days, watching the butterflies and bees busy at work. We have mixed three materials to create the hard landscaping - quartz paddlestones, grey sawn sandstone and green oak. We have added a sculptural log store as an insect hotel.
Our meadow garden was short-listed as a finalist in the prestigious Society of Garden Designers (SGD) awards 2020 and featured in Gardens Illustrated, April 2021 .
